Plus Battery will not charge/hold a chargeUpdated 2 years ago

It is very important to fully charge the battery before use EACH AND EVERY TIME - including before using the battery the FIRST TIME. Note: you can stop charging before it reaches full and continue charging later - as long as you don't USE it until it has been fully charged.

Your Home Plus battery is a 14.8v 5000mAh battery. It has four internal cells which are balanced during the end cycle of charging to avoid damaging the battery.

When you plug the battery into the charger - the readout display will show a voltage between 12.8v and 16.8v - when the readout reaches the maximum capacity, the battery is fully charge. Note: the maximum capacity declines over time - this is normal. When it reaches 80% it will be time to replace the battery.

You will know the battery is damaged when:

  • The battery will not take a charge (the charger readout may just show 000 or nothing at all)
  • The battery is swollen
  • The battery will not hold a charge.

Always charge the battery inside a fireproof container such as a battery charging bag

IMPORTANT: Fully charge before use to assure proper balance of all cells inside the battery.

CAUTION: The battery should always be allowed to come to room-temperature before charging. Charging a hot or cold battery might delay charging or damage the battery. For best results, charge the battery at temperatures between 50º and 80ºF (10º-30ºC).
