The newly designed remote control is different from the others in a couple of significant ways.
- You will not have to charge the remote - it now comes with a CR123A (also called A123) battery - it is long-lasting (about as long as your TV remote battery!) and can be purchased anywhere when it does need replacing!
- It has an On/Off BUTTON instead of a switch
- It also has an EXTERNAL LED light!
- When you turn it on, the light flashes green – a steady green light indicates you’re in a play session
- When you first turn it on, it will need to be calibrated (it's really simple! See below)
- You have the option to OVERRIDE THE 90 SECOND SAFETY SHUT-OFF this is something many of you have asked for - we are listening!
• When you turn on your drive unit you will hear a series of startup beeps , this is normal.
• Upon syncing with the remote controller, the machine will make a rapid tone and then stop beeping.
• You will feel a series of vibrations when you turn on your remote controller.
• You must calibrate your controller after turning it on by pushing the trigger all the way forward until if vibrates and then all the way down until it vibrates( or down and then up, it doesn't matter which sequence you choose.)
• The controller will vibrate in full forward and full reverse positions to indicate successful calibration.
• You can turn off your controller at any time by pressing and holding the controller button until it vibrates and blinks red twice.
• Automatic shut down occurs after 90 seconds of play. At this time, the drive unit will beep and the controller will vibrate 2x with the light turning solid red.
• You can initiate a new play session prior to automatic shut down.
• In the final 10 seconds of a session, the controller will vibrate twice and the light will turn solid red.
• During this period, you can press and hold the controller button until the light turns green.
• Let go of the button after it turns green and you have initiated a new, 90 second session.
• If the system encounters too much drag (i.e. a pet steps on the line) it will begin to perform a stall as a safety shutoff feature.
• In the event of a full-stall the system will shutoff for 15 seconds during which time the controller will become inactive.
• The battery takes a couple hours to fully charge. It is charged when all of the lights on the charger turn green.
• If the equipment stops performing as expected, give the remote controller and machine battery a full charge and try running again before troubleshooting further.
• Common issues include low battery in the machine or remote controller, too much or too little tension on the line, too much drag/terrain is too rough.
