Never allow a LiPo battery voltage to drop below the minimum voltage. This can cause permanent damage by causing internal stress on the electrolyte, significantly reducing its capacity and lifespan. In extreme cases it can even lead to potential fire hazards.
* For the Home Original drive, the battery has 3 internal cells - so the minimum voltage is 9.6v
* For the Home Plus drive, the battery has 4 internal cells - so the minimum voltage is 12.8v
When a LiPo battery is discharged too low, lithium metal can start to deposit on the anode, a process called "lithium plating," which reduces the battery's ability to store charge effectively.
The internal resistance of the battery increases, causing excessive heat generation and further damage to the cell. The battery may begin to swell.
It will permanently damage the battery by accelerating the degradation of its internal components.
