About your Lipo Battery Pack

The battery for your SwiftPaws device is a battery pack - it will have either 3 cells or 4 cells depending on which one you have.

Maximum charge is 4.2V per cell - Minimum charge is 3V per cell. See the information below to calculate the total voltage:

Home Original is a 3 cell battery pack - the nominal voltage is 11.1v
Maximum voltage total is 3x4.2v=12.6v
Minimum voltage is 3x3v=9v

Home Plus is a 4 cell battery pack - the nominal voltage is 14.8v
Maximum voltage total is 4x4.2v=16.8v
Minimum voltage is 4x3v=12v

Never completely discharge your battery pack - see why here: Never fully discharge before charging a LiPo battery

Never leave LiPo packs unattended during charging. If the battery gets too hot it can cause your battery pack to ignite into flames. This fire burns hotter than normal fires and cannot be extinguished with water. The temperature of the pack should never exceed 140F degrees. So always charge the battery inside the LiPo battery charging bag. Use the charger on a fireproof surface and away from flammables. If you have to leave the immediate area - stop charging and finish charging when you can be present.

Don’t leave the battery pack plugged into the device while not in use. The pack can still discharge to an unsafe level and damage the pack even if it is turned off.

Storage: When not using your LiPo battery pack, store it at approx. 60% of the pack’s rated capacity in a room temperature environment. Make sure to use or cycle your packs at least once per month since leaving them on the shelf for a prolonged period of time can cause the packs to get severely out of balance, puff/swell or even go dead.
