If your battery is around a year old or more, it may have come to the end of its life expectancy. Note: a LiPo battery begins to age from the first charge. Once a battery reaches 80% capacity, it's time to replace it.
It needs to be replaced if:
- The "wrapper" has been removed or torn
- It has been damaged
- It it is misshaped
- If if fails to charge or hold a charge
- If the voltage has ever dropped below the minimum
- If the drive is sounding the "low voltage" beep code and charging the battery did not help
- If the charging instructions were not followed

CAUTION: The battery should always be allowed to come to room-temperature before charging. Charging a hot or cold battery might delay charging or damage the battery. For best results, charge the battery at temperatures between 50º and 80ºF (10º-30ºC).
