Remote Control Features - Universal Remote

The Universal remote controller is an optional accessory that is only compatible with the app controlled kits. (Chase, and the newer GEN3" Home Plus and Home Original kits that shipped after June27th, 2025. The GEN 3 drives have the teal colored FCC label inside the battery compartment).

It syncs with the main drive and must remain withing 10-15 feet of the drive to maintain this connection. It ships already calibrated. It uses a replaceable CR123A battery which lasts 2 or more years. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

TURN IT ON

  • By pressing the power button once
  • You'll feel three slight vibrations and the LED light will blink green about once per second.
  • Turn on the app controlled device (Chase drive and the Original and Plus drives manufactured after June 27th)
  • The LED will blink slightly faster and slightly brighter when it pairs with the device.
  • Move the trigger wheel in either direction and the LED turns steady green
  • This starts the 90 second play session timer
  • And it now powers the drive - moving the line/flag in variable speeds and both directions (controlled using the trigger)
  • At 80 seconds into the play session the remote will vibrate and the LED will turn red - signaling the end of the play session is 10 seconds away.

TURN IT OFF

  • Press the and hold the power button until the remote vibrates twice - and the LED turns red
  • It will power down
  • OR - do nothing and the remote will turn itself off after 90 second play session times out.

THE AUTOMATIC SHUTDOWN SAFETY FEATURE

  • At 80 seconds into a play session
  • The remote controller will vibrate twice and
  • The LED light will turn red for 10 seconds
  • If you do nothing, the auto-shutdown safety feature engages.
  • OR you can bypass the auto shutdown - see next section.

TO BYPASS THE AUTOSHUTDOWN

  • Press and hold the power switch within the10 seconds remaining after the 80 second warning
  • Hold briefly until the LED light turns from green to red (it only takes a moment).
  • The remote will vibrate twice and the light will turn green again - indicating the beginning of another 90 second play session without interruption.
  • We do not recommend bypassing the play session
  • Instead - allow your pup to catch their breath and get some water and the motor of your drive to cool down before starting another session.
