Line Tension can cause the drive to work too hard - which will cause the battery to drain more quickly.
The tighter the line is - the harder the motor has to work and the slower the line will move.
The line tension should be almost too loose. Set up the course - thread the line - the line should be loose enough to lay on the floor. Then move the drive back - which will tighten the line - just enough for the line to move but won't slip. That will be your ideal line tension.
