The HotRC charger can charge both the 11.1v and the 14.8v batteries:
- Line up the tabs on the connector with the notches in the appropriate charger port
- Charge to the maximum capacity before each use - even if you only used it a little bit last time.
- Note: once the voltage stops increasing you can consider the battery charged to the maximum capacity 👍
NOTE: the charger gets really hot during a certain phase while charging - this is normal. It is not normal for the charger to get too hot to hold, or if the case begins to warp. If this happens, unplug the charger and discontinue use. The charger should be replaced.
CAUTION: The battery should always be allowed to come to room-temperature before charging. Charging a hot or cold battery might delay charging or damage the battery. For best results, charge the battery at temperatures between 50º and 80ºF (10º-30ºC).
