First plug in the HotRC charger without a battery attached to make sure it's working. The voltage display will show 000 after a few moments.
When you plug in your battery and the charger still reads all three zeros - the battery is dead.
You can expect to replace the LiPo battery about once a year - or earlier depending on how closely you follow the charging instructions. A LiPo battery can go bad in as little as three days if the instructions are not followed.
CAUTION: The battery should always be allowed to come to room-temperature before charging. Charging a hot or cold battery might delay charging or damage the battery. For best results, charge the battery at temperatures between 50º and 80ºF (10º-30ºC).
