STEP 1
Download the SwiftPaws app. Select the appropriate app store for your phone:
STEP 2
Get a compatible battery that will suit your needs. The larger the mAh number, the larger the capacity, which means more motor run time on a single charge.
See this article: Home Plus Battery Buying Guide
STEP 3
Learn about the care of the LiPo battery you purchased. Charge, use, and store the battery according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Tip:
STEP 4
Test the equipment to make sure it's working - before setting up the course.
STEP 3
Set up the course.
The max course size is up to 750 feet, this range is for a course using the drive unit and a single field pulley. Your actual course size depends on multiple factors. Keep in mind that anything that adds drag to the system may require that the course be a bit smaller to accommodate this. See: How to determine your maximum course size
STEP 4
Adjust the line tension so that it is the very lightest tension possible. See this video that demonstrates a quick simple way to adjust for proper line tension.
See: How to Adjust Line Tension - video
STEP 5
Play! Keep your finger on the pawprint button in the app while you slide it up or down to control direction and speed. Lift your finger to stop.
PLAY SESSION
A play session is 90 seconds and shows as 1:30 in the app. It begins to count down as soon as you move the button. At the end of the play session the drive will stop. After your pup catches their breath and maybe gets some water, you can initiate a new play session. Breaks are important for both your pup and the equipment.
NOTE: Disconnect the battery when not actively playing, even for breaks as the drive may continue to drain the battery even with the power switch off. Bring the drive into a climate controlled area when not in use, it is not waterproof or weather proof.
