Using the SwiftPaws App

The SwiftPaws app is compatible with Chase and the Bluetooth-enabled/GEN3 Home Original and Home Plus drives

Using the SwiftPaws App

1. Download the app
Download the free SwiftPaws app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The app is compatible with Chase and GEN3 Home Original/Home Plus drives. Legacy drives are not compatible with the app.

Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone's settings and that the SwiftPaws app has permission to use Bluetooth. The App will do the rest!

2. Turn on the drive

  • For Chase, plug the drive into power.
  • For Home Original/Home Plus, install a charged battery and turn the drive on.

3. Open the app and add your drive

  1. Open the SwiftPaws app.
  2. Tap Continue.
  3. Tap Let's Play.
  4. Tap Add Device or Add New Device.
  5. Select the picture for your drive (Chase, Home Original, or Home Plus).
  6. Give the device a name if you'd like, or skip that step.
  7. Select the device to enter the control screen.

Important: If the SwiftPaws app is installed on more than one phone or tablet, completely close the app on all other devices. The app will connect to the first/strongest Bluetooth signal it detects - including the Universal Remote - so only one SwiftPaws app should be open while pairing.

Moving the lure

Once the drive is connected:

  • Touch and hold the paw-print control.
  • While keeping your finger on the screen, slide your finger up or down to control the direction and speed of the lure.
  • Lift your finger off the paw print to stop.

Each play session is one minute, thirty seconds long. The timer starts when you move the control, and the drive stops automatically when the session ends. Give your dog (and the drive motor) a break, then start another session when they're ready.

Changing speed/mode

Tap the device name/blue arrow on the control screen to access the available speed modes. The app starts in Indoor Mode. Wind-Up Mode can also be selected from the app when you're winding the line.

Other useful app features

The three-line menu in the upper-right corner gives you access to things such as:

  • Device information
  • Firmware/device updates
  • Other device settings

You can also go to ⚙️ Settings → Support in the app to access SwiftPaws' Get Started Guides and Help Center.

One important safety/use note: Keep the phone reasonably close to the drive (about 10-15 feet) for a reliable Bluetooth connection, and supervise your dog during play. When you're finished, unplug the Chase drive or turn off the Home drive and bring the main drive indoors. They should not be left unattended even for short breaks.
