The universal remote controller ships already calibrated. You should not need to recalibrate the remote but if everything is working as expected and the remote is not communicating with the drive, or if SwiftPaws support asks you to recalibrate it; here are the steps to take.
Be sure all SwiftPaws apps are completely closed. Unplug the drive and wait until you're ready to use it before plugging it in.
TO CALIBRATE THE UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROLLER:
1) Press and hold the on/off button for at least 15 seconds ...
a) Keep holding until the LED lights turn on and off: show green and red and vibrate - just keep holding ...
b) After 15 seconds it will vibrate one long time and show a steady red light for a few seconds and then go off.
2) Then press and release the button to turn the remote on.
a) it will vibrate 3 short times and begin flashing green.
3) As it flashes green - push the white trigger wheel all the way up until it vibrates once.
a) The LED continues to flash green.
4) Then push the wheel all the way down until it vibrates once.
a) The LED continues to flash green.
5) Lastly - when you move the trigger wheel once more in either direction the LED light will turn to steady green.
It should now be communicating with the drive.
Plug in the Drive - the blue light on the bottom of the drive will blink once per second to indicate it has power - it will blink once every 3 seconds to indicate it has paired with the remote.
- If it will not operate the drive and/or if the LED does not turn to steady green after moving the trigger wheel a third time (step 5) please reach out to support@swiftpaws.com and send a video showing what is happening.
