It's important to use both stakes and tethers when you set up the course. See why below.

But there is nothing special about ones that ship with your kit. If you need more, or if they don't work well for your specific set up, you can purchase similar items locally or online.

For the tethers, it's easiest and works very well - to just use a loop of the line that ships with your kit (as seen in the video).

For example, you might need wider longer stakes if your ground is soft. Or need more hardy stakes for harder ground, .

Try to find stakes that can be pushed flush with the ground. If they stick up out of the ground take care that they don't become a hazard to you or your pup as they play.
